Returning Residents
Immigrant's Rebate Requirements
- Accepted Returning Resident Stamp from Immigration/Proof that the Traveller has been accepted by the Zimbabwe Immigration as Returning Resident.
- Must have lived outside Zimbabwe for a period of at least 2 years prior to return.
- Must submit documents to prove residence outside Zimbabwe, such as passports (old and new), travel documents, utility bills and proof of employment.
- Must submit work/residence/study permit, current and/or expired for at least the last 2 years.
- Offer letter of employment.
- Employment contract/enrolment documents.
- Termination of Contract of employment, for those who have been employed. Certificates and transcripts for those who have been studying.
- Proof of ownership of goods being imported under rebate, motor vehicle registration book in Importer's name, invoices etc and;
- Vehicle should have been owned for 6 months.
- Export documents from the country of export, as evidence that the goods have been properly cleared for export from that country.
- Proof of Funds - Payslips and bank statements for at least the last 2 years P45, P60, tax returns.
- Proof of residence in Zimbabwe in the form of an electricity bill, a water bill or fixed telephone line bill in importer's name. if not owned by importer, an affidavit from owner including owner's certified ID.
- CBCA Certificate not older than 90 days from date of Issue.
Requirements For Repatriation Of Mortal Remains To Zimbabwe
- Notice of Death - from hospital
- Non-Infectious Diseases Certificate - from hospital
- Death Certificate - Ministry of Home Affairs
- Certificate of Conveyance of Dead Body - Ministry of Health
- Embalming Certificate - from Funeral Undertaker
- With the above documents and the deceased's passport, permission to import the remains into Zimbabwe will be granted at the port of entry (Plumtree Border Post).
Requirements For Renunciation Of Citizenship From A Zimbabwean To A Motswana
- Letter from the applicant giving the reason why you need to renounce
- State where and when you were born
- Provide with marriage certificate if any. Copy of birth certificate and Identity card
- Provide Botswana Birth certificate if born in Botswana
- Confirmation letter for the renunciation of citizenship from Botswana Home Affairs
- Residence Permit
- Parents' proof of Citizenship status and Omang
- Statutory fee - RTGS$200 (RTGS Dollar Two Hundred)
Authority To Bury In Botswana Requirements
- Death Certificate
- Relative's passport or TTD with permit or valid days
- Provide copies and originals
